Automated trading robots

Automated trading robots, engineered with discipline

We design, build and test automated trading robots and the research and monitoring software around them — with risk controls, realistic testing and clear documentation at the centre of every system.

Capabilities

What our trading technology practice delivers

Engineering for every stage of a systematic strategy's life cycle — from first hypothesis to monitored operation.

Algorithmic research

Hypothesis-driven research environments with clean data pipelines and reproducible experiments.

Backtesting & simulation

Event-driven backtests with transaction costs, slippage and out-of-sample validation — designed to expose weaknesses, not hide them.

Trading robot development

Custom automated strategies built from your specification, with configurable risk parameters and full documentation.

Execution engineering

Order-management logic, platform integration and latency-aware design matched to each strategy's time horizon.

Risk controls

Position sizing, exposure caps, drawdown circuit breakers, trading-hour filters and manual kill switches.

Monitoring & operations

Logging, health checks and alerting so you can see what an automated system is doing — and stop it when needed.

Our principles

Built around how strategies fail, not how they are marketed

A strategy that looks excellent in a backtest can fail in live markets for many reasons: overfitting to historical noise, unrealistic cost assumptions, changing market regimes, data errors or infrastructure faults. Our process is designed to surface these risks early.

We document assumptions, keep research reproducible and make risk parameters explicit — so you understand exactly what a system does and the conditions under which it should be switched off.

  • Research before automation
  • Risk controls before scale
  • Out-of-sample evidence before confidence
  • Monitoring before autonomy
  • Plain-language documentation
Transparency

Clear about what we do — and what we don't

We do

  • Engineer research tools, backtests and trading automation software
  • Build to your specification and documented risk parameters
  • Label any test results clearly as historical or simulated, with assumptions stated
  • Provide education on trading automation and risk-management concepts
  • Support deployment, monitoring and maintenance

We don't

  • Provide personalised investment advice or recommendations
  • Manage client funds or trade on anyone's behalf
  • Sell trade recommendations or “guaranteed” strategies
  • Promise profits, returns or win rates
  • Publish unverified performance figures
Engagement

How a trading technology engagement works

  1. Specification & feasibility

We clarify the strategy logic, markets, platform and risk constraints, and assess what can be automated reliably.

  2. Architecture

We design the components: data handling, decision logic, order management, the risk layer and monitoring.

  3. Development

Version-controlled code with unit tests, and configuration kept separate from logic.

  4. Validation

Backtests with realistic costs, out-of-sample and walk-forward checks, then forward testing on demo or simulated accounts.

  5. Handover & support

Documentation, configuration guidance and optional monitoring and maintenance.

FAQ

Trading technology questions

Can you guarantee that a trading robot will be profitable?
No. No one can honestly guarantee trading profits. Markets change, and automated systems can and do lose money. We engineer software to your specification and test it rigorously, but outcomes in live markets are uncertain.
Do you recommend trades or manage accounts?
No. We do not recommend trades, manage funds or trade on anyone's behalf. We build software and provide research and education.
Which platforms do you work with?
Established trading platforms that support automated strategies, Python-based research stacks and official platform APIs where the provider permits automated trading. Suitability is confirmed during the feasibility stage.
Do you publish backtest or performance results?
No. We do not publish performance figures. Any test results prepared for a client are clearly labelled as historical or simulated, with their assumptions and limitations stated.
Is any of this financial advice?
No. Our work is software engineering, research and education. You remain responsible for deciding whether, how and with what capital to trade, and for complying with your trading platform's terms and applicable laws.
